9-5-17

LORD, you have probed me, you know me: you know when I sit and stand; you understand my thoughts from afar. You sift through my travels and my rest; with all my ways you are familiar. Even before a word is on my tongue,LORD, you know it all. Behind and before you encircle me and rest your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, far too lofty for me to reach. Where can I go from your spirit? From your presence, where can I flee? If I ascend to the heavens, you are there; if I lie down in Sheol, there you are. If I take the wings of dawn and dwell beyond the sea, Even there your hand guides me, your right hand holds me fast. If I say, “Surely darkness shall hide me, and night shall be my light. Darkness is not dark for you, and night shines as the day. Darkness and light are but one. You formed my inmost being; you knit me in my mother’s womb. I praise you, because I am wonderfully made; wonderful are your works! My very self you know. My bones are not hidden from you, When I was being made in secret ,fashioned in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw me unformed ;in your book all are written down; my days were shaped, before one came to be.How precious to me are your designs, O God; how vast the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the sands; when I complete them, still you are with me.
When you would destroy the wicked, O God, the bloodthirsty depart from me! Your foes who conspire a plot against you are exalted in vain. Do I not hate, LORD, those who hate you? Those who rise against you, do I not loathe? With fierce hatred I hate them, enemies I count as my own.Probe me, God, know my heart; try me, know my thoughts. See if there is a wicked path in me; lead me along an ancient path. (Psalm 139)

And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. 27 But immediately he spoke to them, saying, “Take heart, it is I; have no fear.”28 And Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, bid me come to you on the water.” 29 He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus; 30 but when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” 31 Jesus immediately reached out his hand and caught him, saying to him, “O man of little faith, why did you doubt?” 32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind beggar was sitting beside the road. 36 When he heard the noise of a crowd going past, he asked what was happening. 37 They told him that Jesus the Nazarene was going by. 38 So he began shouting, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”39 “Be quiet!” the people in front yelled at him. But he only shouted louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”40 When Jesus heard him, he stopped and ordered that the man be brought to him. As the man came near, Jesus asked him, 41 “What do you want me to do for you? ”“Lord, ” he said, “I want to see!” 42 And Jesus said, “All right, receive your sight! Your faith has healed you.” 43 Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus, praising God. And all who saw it praised God, too. (Luke 18:35-43)

But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine.  When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. Jesus said to the father (of the epileptic boy), “Why did you say ‘if you can’? All things are possible for the one who believes. Immediately the father shouted, “I do believe. Help me to believe more! (Mark 9:23-24)prayer

As I prayed for the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s intentions for the Barn this night, I saw Jesus walk up to each person and lay His hands on their head – for increased belief! And then I saw Him touch a coal to everyone’s lips: to release testimony of His healing love! I was led to the scripture in Mark where the desperate father seeks healing for his son, and asks Jesus to help him believe more. Jesus responds to his request by immediately healing his son. He wants our belief in Him and His healing power to increase, and this will be accomplished through the healings people see and experience at the Barn tonight – they will be able to testify to God’s healing love for themselves and for others! The Barn is a place to receive and release healing! For belief to grow!

As I prayed for the Barn tonight, I saw Jesus stand in front of people, touch their eyes, and they could SEE – spiritual blindness healed! This will be a night to KNOW Jesus – to experience who He is, how much He loves you, and what He comes to do!

And they were filled with great awe and said to one another, ‘Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?’ (Mark 4:41)

As I prayed for everyone coming to the Barn, I saw Jesus in a boat caught in a storm, but the boat itself was filled with a wonderful light – He is pulling people into the boat where they can be safe and experience the Kingdom of Heaven as they stay in the boat with Him. The Holy Spirit inspired me to look at the scripture from Mark 4 – “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?” Whatever storm you are experiencing in your life now, Jesus wants to pull you into the boat with Him where you can experience the power of the Kingdom of Heaven.
