Daily Prayer for Protection – to pray every day In the Name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Lord Jesus Christ, I ask you to protect my family (mention each by name, also including pets) from all sickness, from all harm and from all accidents. I reject all pride from within myself. I acknowledge that without you, Lord Jesus, I am nothing. I acknowledge that without you, Lord Jesus, I have no power. I have many positive accomplishments in my life, but I must rightly and joyfully give their credit to you, Lord Jesus. You, Lord Jesus, have made me a child of God through the water of Baptism. So, I now take up the power and authority you have given to me as a child of God. From this position of true humility, I ask you Lord Jesus, to cover me with your Most Holy Cloak of Protection, which is sprinkled in your Most Precious Blood. I ask you Blessed Mother Mary, to wrap me in your beautiful Blue Mantel of Protection. Please come and assist me now all you Holy Intercessors, you Holy Angels and Saints. Be merciful, (Spare us, O Lord.) Be merciful,  (Graciously hear us, O Lord.)  1 Knowing that I can be a conduit for Your power and works, Lord Jesus, and in the safety of Your protection, if any of us have been subjected to any curses, hexes or spells, I declare these curses, hexes and spells null and void in the name of Jesus Christ. If any evil spirits have been sent against us, I bind you (can be named if so desired) in the name of Jesus Christ, and in the name of Jesus Christ I send you directly and immediately to the base of His cross, to be dealt with through His Most Precious Blood and according to His Most Holy Will. It is there that, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, I imprison you in the fires of God’s love. Come Holy Spirit, fill all of this with your holy grace, through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Then Lord Jesus, I ask You to send your Holy Angels to guard and protect us all. For I ask this through Your Most Holy Name, Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen. In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. This prayer is based on the following scriptures (emphasis added): Philippians 2:9-11 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Revelation 19:13-16 He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” Revelation 12:10-11 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death. Isaiah 55:10-11 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. Job 1:6-10 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them. The LORD said to Satan, “From where do you come?” Then Satan answered the LORD and said, “From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it.” The LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil.” Then Satan answered the LORD, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. (See also Psalm 80:12 and Isaiah 5:5 for references to “hedge” as protection) Ephesians 6:10-17 (The Armor of God) Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 1) (based on a prayer from Francis MacNutt, Ph.D., Christian Healing Ministries)
